The Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool HP07 is a compact all-in-one space heater, fan, and air purifier. Like most of Dyson's offerings in this space, it's jam-packed with convenience features that aim to provide a hands-off user experience. Not only does it have an 'Auto' setting that allows it to automatically adjust to the current air quality, but it's also Wi-Fi enabled, so you can fully control it with the Dyson Smart Link app or with voice assistants like Amazon Alexa or Siri Shortcuts.
The Dyson HP07 is a mediocre choice for pet owners. Its performance in capturing really fine particles like cat dander isn't all that impressive. Its air cleaning rate is also rather slow, so it's really only best suited for use in smaller spaces. It isn't all that loud at its lowest fan speed, but it can get noisy if left at its highest setting and even louder when its heater is turned on.
The Dyson HP07 is decent for use in bedrooms. Its compact footprint ensures you can place it almost anywhere in your room easily. At its lowest fan speed, it doesn't make all that much noise, which is good if you're letting it run overnight, but it gets much louder if you leave its heater on.
There are two variants of the Dyson HP07, though they differ only in color. The HP07 is available in either White/Silver or Black/Nickel colorways. We tested the White/Silver version; you can see its label here.

The Dyson HP07 is an impressively feature-packed little machine. Few devices this size can play the role of air purifier, fan, and space heater, and its seamless integration of various smart features make for a pretty pleasant user experience. With all of that said, it fails where it counts the most in this realm: actual particle filtration performance. While alternatives like the Coway Airmega 200M admittedly don't function as a fan or space heater, they're also much cheaper and do a considerably better job of actually sealing in particles.
The Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool HP07 is better than the Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool Purifying Heating Fan HP4B, which itself is simply a Costco-exclusive variant of the Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool Purifying Heating Fan HP04. The HP07 simply operates a little more quietly and has a higher clean air delivery rate.
The Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool Formaldehyde HP09 is a little more feature-rich than the Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool HP07, though both appliances will deliver similar overall performance in most scenarios. Only the HP09 has an added catalytic filter for trapping formaldehyde, a colorless gas that a huge variety of indoor sources can release, ranging from paint to particleboard. That said, we don't currently test for formaldehyde absorption, and are unable to validate this claim.
The Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool HP07 and Dyson Pure Hot+Cool Link HP02 are both all-in-one fans, space heaters, and air purifiers. That said, only the HP07 has a display screen that provides a live view of PM2.5 particle concentration, PM10 particle concentration, Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) levels, and nitrogen dioxide levels. The HP07 also delivers better overall particle filtration performance. While the HP02 can pivot up and down, the HP07 has a much larger range of rotation.
This device's display provides information on a room's current air quality based on the concentration of different types of particles. You can cycle through a live view of PM2.5 particle concentration, PM10 particle concentration, Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) level, and nitrogen dioxide level. The color of the indicator strip along the side of the display changes based on air quality.
This air purifier also comes with a remote control that allows you to change the air purifier's fan speed, adjust the main fan's oscillation, cycle through particle count info, change the intensity of its heating element, or enable the device's Night mode, which dims the display and sets the fan to its quietest setting. This remote is magnetized and is meant to be placed on top of the oval-shape fan when not in use.
This air purifier has a two-stage filter system comprised of a HEPA filter for particles like mold spores, pollen, and pet dander, along with an Activated Carbon layer for locking in odors.
The manufacturer doesn't issue any maintenance requirements for the filter system. You can buy a replacement here.
Turning on the Dyson's heater and leaving it in its highest setting results in an increase in operating noise, especially at lower fan speeds:
