We've officially started working on a new test bench update for vacuums that would treat robot vacuums and regular vacuums as two separate product categories!
We want to hear from all of you. What has your experience been with robot vacuums so far? Is there anything specific you'd like to see in our reviews? Check out updates from our test designers and share your suggestions here.
The Dyson V15 Detect is a highly versatile cordless stick/handheld vacuum. It sits near the top of Dyson's lineup of cordless stick vacuums, above the less powerful Dyson V12 Detect Slim, but below the newer Dyson Gen5detect and Dyson Gen5outsize. The V15 has a powerful motor that generates up to 230AW of suction, an onboard particle sensor, and a surface detection system that enables it to adjust its suction power depending on the surface you're cleaning.
The Dyson V15 is very good for bare floors. It clears pet hair and small and bulky debris without difficulty on this surface type. It's also quite maneuverable and incurs minimal ownership costs as long as it's properly maintained. Unfortunately, it doesn't feel especially sturdy and has several parts that need periodic cleaning.
The Dyson V15 is great for cleaning low-pile carpet. It does a good job of clearing away most kinds of debris on this surface type, even if another pass might be necessary to deal with everything. Its bagless design and washable allergen-trapping HEPA filter also result in a near-total absence of recurring costs. However, while its primarily plastic construction makes the vacuum lightweight and easy to maneuver, it doesn't feel especially sturdy. There are also quite a few parts that require regular maintenance.
The Dyson V15 delivers impressive performance on high-pile carpet. Thanks to its bagless design and washable filter, it incurs almost no recurring costs. It clears away solid debris on this surface type without much difficulty. Its surface detection system also enables it to raise its suction power on high-pile carpeting. Unfortunately, its high suction power makes it difficult to maneuver on shag-pile carpet, and it can even drag some smaller rugs around if you don't stand on them to keep them in place.
The Dyson V15 is superb for cleaning up pet hair. It does an outstanding job of sucking up pet hair on bare floors and low and high-pile carpet. It also has a whole machine filtration system that traps allergens as you clean, which is great for sealing in allergens like pet dander. You can also remove the brushrolls for most of its tools, making it easier to remove hair wraps, though quite a few parts need regular servicing.
The Dyson V15 is a fantastic option for cleaning your stairs. Its lightweight construction and reconfigurable design make it easy to use as a handheld vacuum. Since it's cordless, you can clean larger staircases without worrying about swapping outlets or tripping over a power cord. It delivers exceptional performance on bare floors and low and high-pile carpet, so you can easily clear debris regardless of your stairs' surface type.
The Dyson V15 is an excellent choice for cleaning the inside of your car. It can easily reconfigure into a lightweight, fairly compact handheld vacuum, and you don't have to worry about staying close to an outlet due to its cordless design. It also comes with a wide range of tools and accessories, including a crevice tool to tackle messes in tight corners and a conical turbo brush to clear messes on automotive upholstery.
The Dyson V15 Detect is mediocre for workshop cleaning, though that isn't its intended use. It does a fantastic job of clearing household debris on hard surfaces, but you can't use it to clear away liquid spills.
The Dyson V15 Detect is available in several variants, though they differ only in included attachments. We tested the basic V15 Detect model, and you can see its label here.

The Dyson V15 is a cordless stick/handheld with a unique dust-sensitive power adjustment feature. It delivers strong overall performance on several surface types, outperforming older, less powerful Dyson models like the Dyson V11. However, its high suction force can make it a hassle to maneuver on shag-pile carpet, and its mostly plastic construction isn't especially robust.
If you're looking for alternatives, consider our recommendations for the best cordless vacuums, the best cordless stick vacuums, and the best hardwood vacuums.
The Dyson V15 Detect is a better vacuum than the Dyson V11. They're similar in build quality, battery performance, and maneuverability, but the V15 is a little lighter, delivers superior cleaning performance on all surface types, and has a built-in particle sensor. Conversely, the V11 is less demanding in terms of maintenance requirements.
The Dyson V15 Detect is slightly better overall than the Dyson V8. The V15 has a marginally bigger dirt compartment and a surface-type adjustment feature, lasts longer on a single charge, and clears debris more effectively on all surface types. Meanwhile, the V8 is easier to pick up and carry and has fewer parts that require regular maintenance.
The Dyson V15 Detect is better than the Dyson Outsize. The V15 is easier to store and maneuver and delivers superior cleaning performance on low- and high-pile carpets. However, the Outsize has a larger dirt compartment that doesn't need emptying as often. It comes with an extra battery, which extends its total runtime and allows you to keep cleaning for longer.
The Dyson V15 Detect is a better overall vacuum than the Dyson Cyclone V10. The V15 clears more debris on bare floors, and low- and high-pile carpets. It's also easier to store thanks to its included wand clip, which allows you to hang two different tools on the vacuum. Meanwhile, the V10 is lighter and takes much less time to charge despite offering similar overall runtime.
The Dyson V15 Detect is better for more uses than the Samsung Jet 90 Complete. The Dyson has fewer maintenance requirements, incurs virtually no recurring costs as long as you regularly clean its filter, and delivers superior performance on bare floors and low- and high-pile carpets. It also has a longer runtime in its least powerful suction mode, though it takes much longer to recharge than the Samsung. The Samsung also has a slightly larger dirt compartment and is fully compatible with a mopping floorhead that you can use to deal with stains.
The Dyson Gen5detect/Gen5detect Absolute is a minor improvement over the Dyson V15 Detect, though the V15 is still a good option if you don't want to spend as much and don't want to compromise on performance. The Gen5Detect feels slightly better built, is easier to maintain, and has a more comfortable set of controls, with a dedicated on/off button instead of a trigger. The Gen5Detect's soft roller floorhead also has a brighter light to help you see fine debris on hard floors, and it does a little better on bare surfaces.
The Dyson V15 Detect is better than the Shark Detect Pro. The Dyson is considerably more powerful, delivers better performance on bare floors and carpets, and has a wider array of attachments. That said, the Shark is lighter and is only available with a self-empty docking station.
The Dyson V15 Detect is better overall than the Dyson Gen5outsize/Gen5outsize Absolute. While the Gen5outsize does feature some improvements over the V15, like a on/off button instead of a standard trigger and a larger dustbin, it doesn't offer enough to justify its significantly higher price. It's also less portable and maneuverable.
The Dyson V15 Detect is a better vacuum than the Dyson V7. The V15 features an onboard tool storage rack, has a slightly larger dirt compartment that doesn't need emptying as often, has a longer battery life, and delivers superior performance on bare floors and low- and high-pile carpets thanks to a motor that provides almost twice as much power.
The Dyson V15 Detect and Dyson V12 Detect Slim each have advantages. The V15 is a better option for heavier-duty cleaning sessions, thanks to a more powerful motor that helps clear debris on carpeted floors more effectively. It also has a larger dustbin that won't need emptying as often. The V12 is notably lighter, making it easier to pick up and carry from room to room. While it isn't as effective as the V15 on carpeting, its lower output motor makes it less likely to get caught on dense carpeting. Unlike the V15, it can also automatically increase its suction when it encounters high concentrations of debris.
The Shark Stratos Cordless and Dyson V15 Detect each have advantages. The Dyson has a tool storage rack, lasts slightly longer on a full charge, weighs significantly less in its stick configuration, and comes with a wider array of attachments, most notably a turbo brush tool that makes it a better option for cleaning pet hair on furniture. Conversely, the Shark feels sturdier, has a flexible wand that makes it easier to clean under furniture, and comes with an odor-neutralizing cartridge.
The Dyson V15 Detect is better than the Samsung Bespoke Jet. The Dyson incurs virtually no recurring costs, takes up less room when not in use, has a larger dustbin, exerts a stronger suction force at its floorhead, and performs better on bare floors and carpets. However, the Samsung comes with a cleaning station accessory that lets you quickly empty its dustbin, making it easier to maintain. It also comes with two batteries that can be charged simultaneously, giving you a much longer overall runtime. It's also fully compatible with a dedicated mopping floorhead to help deal with dried-on stains, though this attachment needs to be purchased separately.
The Dyson V15s Detect Submarine and the Dyson V15 Detect are effectively the same vacuum, with the main difference being that only the V15s model is compatible with the Submarine floorhead. This isn't due to any hardware differences—you can physically attach the Submarine head to the standard V15—but only the V15s Submarine model is programmed to recognize and work with this head. That said, the standard V15 will deliver all but identical performance at a much lower price, and it's the better option if you don't need the mopping floorhead.
The Dyson V15 Detect and Miele Triflex HX2 Pro/Cat & Dog each have their own advantages. The Miele feels like a more premium product, with better build quality and fewer parts that need periodic cleaning. Meanwhile, the Dyson has the advantage in terms of raw performance. It also has a much bigger dustbin than the Miele.
The Miele Triflex HX1 and Dyson V15 Detect each have their advantages, meaning one may suit you better than the other, depending on your needs. The Miele is better built, easier to maintain, feels lighter, and is more maneuverable. It also has an automatic surface type adjustment feature that stops the brushroll from spinning if it detects something has gotten tangled. Meanwhile, the Dyson delivers superior performance on low- and high-pile carpets, comes with more tools and accessories, has a larger dirt compartment, and lasts longer on a charge when run in its most energy-efficient power setting.
The Dyson V15 Detect is better than the Shark Vertex Pro Lightweight. The Dyson is lighter, has a longer maximum battery life, comes with more tools and accessories, and clears more debris on bare floors and low- and high-pile carpets. Conversely, the Shark feels more solidly built, has fewer parts that need regular cleaning, has a larger dustbin, and is easier to maneuver.
The Dyson V15 Detect is far more versatile than the Dyson Omni-glide. The V15 has a larger dustbin, a longer battery life, more tools and accessories, and better performance on bare floors. Unlike the Omni-glide, you can also use the V15 to clean carpets; it delivers superb performance. Meanwhile, the Omni-glide is much easier to maneuver, has fewer parts that require maintenance, and charges faster.
The Dyson V15 Detect is better than the Tineco PURE ONE S11. The Dyson has a considerably longer battery life, has an onboard particle counter, is easier to maneuver, and uses a more powerful suction motor, allowing for superior deep-cleaning performance on carpets and in crevices. The Tineco could be a better option if you're looking for something cheaper and more portable, as it weighs less. Its companion app integration also makes it easier to keep track of which parts need cleaning.
The Dyson V15 Detect is slightly better than the LG CordZero A9. The Dyson incurs virtually no recurring costs, has a larger dustbin, and features an automatic suction power adjustment feature. It also performs notably better on bare floors and carpets. Conversely, higher-end LG variants come with a second battery that gives it a longer overall runtime.
The Dyson V15 Detect and Dyson Ball Animal 2 Total Clean/Origin are designed to suit different uses, and one may suit you better than the other, depending on your needs. The Ball Animal 2 is a corded upright with a theoretically indefinite runtime. It has a bigger dirt compartment, fewer parts that need regular cleaning, and a dedicated pet grooming tool. Meanwhile, the V15 Detect is a cordless stick/handheld vacuum that's far more compact, is easier to maneuver, and comes with a wider assortment of tools, including a fluffy brushroll head with a laser light to help you see small debris. Both vacuums can be difficult to maneuver on some carpets or rugs due to their strong suction force.
The Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal and the Dyson V15 Detect are differently designed vacuums with differing uses. The Cinetic is a corded canister vacuum with a virtually indefinite runtime. It also has far fewer parts requiring regular maintenance, as well as a larger dirt compartment, and it doesn't get stuck on some rugs. Conversely, the V15 is a cordless stick vacuum that you can use far away from any electrical outlets. It delivers superior performance on all surface types, is considerably easier to store, and feels slightly better built.
The Dyson V15 Detect is better than the Shark Cordless Pet Plus. The Dyson is lighter and more maneuverable, has a wider variety of attachments, and has a longer battery life. It also has a more powerful suction motor, resulting in superior deep-cleaning performance across a variety of surfaces. Meanwhile, the Shark feels fractionally sturdier and has a higher-capacity dustbin.
The Dyson V15 Detect is better than the Tineco PURE ONE X. The Dyson requires less maintenance and incurs virtually no recurring costs. It also has a bigger dustbin, uses a removable battery, is easier to maneuver, and performs better on carpeted surfaces. Meanwhile, the Tineco is lighter.
The Dyson V15 Detect is slightly better than the Shark Rocket Pet Pro. Both deliver similarly exceptional performance on bare floors, though the Dyson is slightly superior on low-pile carpets and clears noticeably more debris on high-pile carpets. It also has a broader selection of tools and accessories and a longer battery life. However, the Shark takes much less time to charge, feels more solidly built, is less demanding in terms of maintenance, and can maneuver more easily.
The Dyson V15 Detect is a better fit for most uses than the Samsung Jet 70, though both vacuums perform quite similarly overall. The Dyson features a telescopic wand that allows you to adjust the vacuum height to your liking, comes with a secondary soft-roller floorhead that yields superior bare floor and crevice-cleaning performance, and has a considerably longer battery life. Unlike the Samsung vacuum, it also features a built-in particle sensor and can automatically adjust its suction power depending on the surface that it's on. However, the Samsung is lighter, quieter, and easier to maneuver, and delivers better performance on high-pile carpets. It's also compatible with a specialized mopping floorhead for dealing with stains on hard floors, but this needs to be purchased separately.
The BISSELL CrossWave Pet Pro and Dyson V15 Detect each have distinct uses. The BISSELL is a corded upright vacuum/mop hybrid that does a better job dealing with stains thanks to its detergent-spraying feature and can be used to clear liquid spills. The Dyson is a cordless stick/handheld vacuum that does a better job cleaning debris on various surface types and in cracks, has a much stronger suction force, produces less noise, and is easier to maneuver. It also has a HEPA filter, resulting in superior air filtration performance.
The Dyson V15 Detect is better than the Shark Vertex Lightweight Cordless. The Dyson has a longer maximum runtime, comes with more tools and accessories, is a little lighter, and performs better on all surface types. Meanwhile, the Shark charges faster, feels sturdier, is less demanding in terms of maintenance, and is easier to maneuver under tables and couches thanks to its flexible wand.
The Dyson V15 Detect is better than the Samsung Jet 60. The Dyson has a much longer battery life, has more tools and accessories, and performs better across all surface types. It also has an automatic surface detection system and can automatically adjust its suction power depending on the surface you're on. However, the Samsung weighs less and makes less noise.
The Dyson V15 Detect is better than the Wyze Cordless Vacuum. The Dyson has a longer maximum battery life, has more tools and brushes, and performs better on all surface types thanks to its more powerful motor. The Wyze, meanwhile, has fewer parts that require regular maintenance and weighs slightly less.

The Dyson is a lighter, more portable cordless stick vacuum that features a built-in dirt sensor and a surface-detection system that enables it to change its power mode depending on the floor type you're on. It also has a marginally longer battery life, delivers better performance on low-pile carpets, and is more effective when dealing with debris stuck in cracks and crevices. Meanwhile, the Shark is a cordless upright with a larger dirt compartment and a faster recharging time. Unlike the Dyson, the Shark doesn't come with a miniature turbo brush, but it does have an upholstery tool that helps it do a fantastic job of clearing away pet hair on furniture.
The Dyson V15 Detect is more versatile than the Dyson Humdinger, though they're meant for different uses. The V15 is a stick vacuum you can reconfigure into a handheld vacuum, so it's better suited to cleaning larger spaces. Meanwhile, the Humdinger is a remarkably lightweight handheld vacuum that's more suited to quick spot cleaning. The V15 has more parts to maintain but has a notably larger dirt compartment. It also performs better overall on all surface types than the Humdinger.
The Airsign HEPA Vacuum and Dyson V15 Detect are two very differently designed vacuums with varying uses. The Airsign is a better option for longer cleaning sessions because of its corded design, allowing you to run it indefinitely. Unlike the bagless Dyson, it uses biodegradable dirtbags to hold in debris, resulting in cleaner and less frequent dirt disposal but also higher recurring costs. The Dyson's cordless design allows you to carry it out wherever you may need it, and it does a better job of dealing with debris embedded in carpets.
The Dyson V15 Detect is better than the Dyson Micro 1.5kg, mostly because the Micro isn't suitable for carpets. The Micro is more portable and a tad easier to maneuver. The V15 is more versatile, has more tools and brushes, and has a significantly larger dirt compartment and longer max battery life. Unless you need something exceptionally small and lightweight, the V15 is the better option for most uses.
The Dyson V15 Detect is better than the Roborock H7. The Dyson feels sturdier, has fewer maintenance requirements, a larger dustbin, and more attachments, and delivers better performance on all surface types. Its stronger suction force at its floorhead also means it's more effective in sucking up debris from crevices. However, the Roborock is lighter, charges faster, and lasts longer in its most energy-efficient mode. Unlike the Dyson, it also comes with an adapter that allows you to use it as a bagged vacuum.
The Dyson V15 Detect and iRobot H1 suit different purposes. The Dyson has a stick/handheld design that's much better suited to cleaning larger spaces, but it can be used in a handheld configuration for spot-cleaning some areas. It has a much longer battery life, has a wider range of tools and accessories, incurs fewer recurring costs, and offers significantly better performance on all surface types. Meanwhile, the handheld-only iRobot feels better built, isn't as demanding to maintain, and is easier to store.
The Shark Vertex UltraLight Corded and Dyson V15 Detect are differently designed vacuums with differing uses. The Shark is a corded stick vacuum that's better suited to longer cleaning jobs due to its virtually unlimited runtime. It also feels better built and has fewer parts that need regular cleaning. Meanwhile, the Dyson vacuum's cordless design makes it much easier to clean areas far from any electrical outlets, and it delivers better overall performance across most surface types. It also has a surface detection system that lets it automatically change its suction power depending on the floor type it's on. There's also an onboard HEPA filter and a greater variety of attachments, most notably its secondary floorhead designed for bare floors, which has a laser light to help you see fine debris.
This vacuum is fairly well-built. It's similar in appearance to many other Dyson vacuums, particularly the Dyson V11, with an eye-catching design that looks upmarket. Not all of the vacuum's stylistic touches are purely aesthetic; the top part also has a rubber strip that lets you lean the vacuum against the wall without it falling over. Unfortunately, its primarily plastic construction doesn't feel especially sturdy, with flimsy floorhead wheels and a fragile-feeling clear plastic dustbin.
Thankfully, out-of-the-box assembly is very easy, thanks to the prevalence of easy-clip mechanisms.
This vacuum isn't too hard to maintain. Quite a few parts require regular maintenance, though they're very easy to access. Still, you may want to consider the Shark Cordless Pro if you want a vacuum with fewer maintenance requirements.
Any parts that you wash under cold water should be left to dry for at least 24 hours before being re-installed.
This vacuum incurs virtually no recurring costs. As long as you regularly clean its HEPA filter, it won't need replacing. You can purchase replacement components from Dyson's website if needed.
This vacuum is easy to store. Unlike the Shark Vertex Pro Lightweight, it comes with a wand clip that allows you to carry around two accessories, while its docking station has a place to put two other tools.
This vacuum's dirt compartment is alright. It's a little small for a cordless stick vacuum, with a smaller capacity than alternatives like the Samsung Jet 90 Complete. It'll likely need emptying somewhat frequently, though its horizontal orientation makes it easier to empty than the smaller vertically oriented dustbin found on the older Dyson V8. Thankfully, since it's made of clear plastic, you can check roughly how full it is at all times. If you'd prefer a bigger dirt compartment, check out the Dyson Gen5outsize/Gen5outsize Absolute.
Since this is a cordless vacuum, its range is limited only by the remaining battery life and room left in its dirt compartment.
This vacuum is impressively portable. It's noticeably lighter than the Dyson Outsize and has a carrying handle that makes lifting and moving it around easier. That said, if you'd like something even lighter, you could consider the Shark Detect Pro.
The Dyson V15's battery performance is alright. It supplies more than 70 minutes of runtime if you use it in its 'Eco' power mode with no attachments. However, this drops to under 10 minutes if you run it continuously in its high-power 'Boost' mode with the motorized head, so you need to work fast when dealing with stubborn messes. That said, it's worth noting that battery life can vary drastically in its self-adjusting 'Auto' mode depending on the surface you're cleaning. The LED display on top of the vacuum gives you a rough estimate of the remaining battery life. Unfortunately, this vacuum takes quite a long time to charge, at just under four hours.
The Dyson V15 has a couple of quality-of-life features. Its Laser Slim Fluffy vacuum head has an integrated laser light to help you see small particles on bare floors. You can also choose between three different power modes: the energy-efficient 'Eco' mode, the high-suction 'Boost' mode, and the 'Auto' mode, which automatically adjusts the suction power depending on the surface you're cleaning. There's also a suction gate on its motorized head to help you further tweak its suction force on different surfaces. The vacuum also features a piezo sensor to keep tabs on the quantity of differently-sized particles in your home. That said, unlike the Dyson Gen5detect/Gen5detect Absolute, it has a trigger instead of an on/off button that you can press once to keep the vacuum running, which is more comfortable for longer cleaning sessions.
The Dyson V15 Detect comes with a broad selection of tools and accessories. It has unique tools, like its Laser Slim Fluffy head, which helps you see small particles on bare floors. There's also its conical turbo brush, which can clean pet hair from fabric-lined surfaces, and a combination tool that features an upholstery tool and a sliding hard bristle brush. The separate stiff bristle brush can dislodge stuck-on dirt and debris from different surfaces. Another soft bristle brush is well-suited to dusting off delicate surfaces. You can also use its crevice tool to tackle messes in tight spots. All the included accessories can fit the main wand to help you clean hard-to-reach places.
You can reconfigure the Dyson V15 into a handheld vacuum by removing its wand.
This vacuum delivers great performance on hard floors with its Laser Slim Fluffy cleaner head. The soft roller collects a wide mix of debris on flat surfaces without issue, though it's worth noting that finer material like sand can be caught at the back of the head and dragged around when pulling the head backward. It's also worth noting that trying to clean a large amount of large material, like cereal, can sometimes clog the suction inlet, as seen here.
This vacuum delivers impressive performance on high-pile carpet when used with its multi-surface Digital Motorbar floorhead. While a small amount of finer debris, as well as pulverized bits of larger material like rice or cereal, can be left behind, especially in corners, it still clears away the majority of debris within a single pass.
This vacuum does a good job of cleaning low-pile carpet when you use it with its multi-surface Digital Motorbar floorhead. It doesn't have too much trouble dealing with large material like cereal and clears away the majority of fine material like sand worked into carpet fibers. However, you'll probably need to make an extra pass to clear away everything else.
The vacuum's pet hair pickup performance on low-pile carpet is exceptional when fitted with its Digital Motorbar floorhead. This attachment's brushroll has stiff enough bristles to thoroughly agitate carpet fibers and lift away both long and short strands of hair.
This vacuum delivers very good suction force. The manufacturer advertises the motor to provide 230 AW of suction power, which is remarkably potent for a cordless vacuum. It can exert a strong level of suction force at its floorhead and hose since both parts generate a pretty tight seal against most surface types.
The Dyson V15 Detect delivers very good airflow performance. It's one of the most powerful cordless stick vacuums on the market, and its airflow performance compares favorably to some mid-range corded models, thanks to a powerful suction motor and efficient filtration system. It'll have no trouble lifting away all kinds of debris. If raw airflow performance is all you're after, consider a high-end corded model with an even more powerful motor instead, like the Dyson Ball Animal 3 Extra/Complete.
This vacuum isn't too loud. When used with its soft roller floorhead on bare floors, it won't cause much of a disturbance. However, it is a little bit louder when used with its multi-surface brushroll, especially on carpets, where it automatically ramps up its suction power to the highest level when used in its 'Auto' mode.
The Dyson V15 has good maneuverability. It can easily navigate cluttered spaces thanks to its rotating head. Due to its lightweight construction, you can maneuver over or around obstructions like electrical cords. Removing and attaching different tools and accessories is simple, and cleaning on top of furniture in its handheld configuration is rather easy. You need to crouch fairly low to the ground to clean under couches, tables, and other low-lying furniture thanks to its bottom-mounted handle and slightly protruding filter. Unfortunately, it could be hard to clean high-pile rugs due to the high suction power, which makes it hard to push around and can drag smaller carpets around if you don't stand on them to keep them in place. Consider the Dyson V12 Detect Slim if you want something that has less trouble cleaning shaggier carpets and rugs.
This vacuum does a great job of dealing with pet hair on upholstered furniture when used with its Hair Screw Tool. It tends to collect hair and turn them into densely packed ball-shaped tangles, making them easier to pick up. Consider the Samsung Bespoke Jet if you're looking for a vacuum with an even more effective turbo brush attachment.
This vacuum's whole-machine filtration system results in good air filtration performance.
This vacuum does a great job of clearing away debris in crevices. Its relatively powerful suction motor, combined with the fact that its soft roller floorhead generates a tight seal with hard floors, enables it to clear away debris in both shallow and deep cracks.
This variant of the Dyson V15 Detect does a terrible job of scrubbing away stains on bare floors when used with its Laser Slim floorhead, which isn't surprising given that this isn't its intended use. Consider the Dyson V15s Detect Submarine model if you want a V15 variant with a dedicated mopping floorhead.
This variant of the Dyson V15 isn't designed to clear liquid spills.
